About Us
Hi there, this is the blog of the Liverpool branch of the Freshfields Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted, homeless and abandoned animals.
We have lots of residents here at the Liverpool shelter, generally in the region of 50 dogs, 120 cats and around about 200 small animals and birds at any one time. We also have a small farm section with pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks.
On these pages a number of our long term residents are going to take the opportunity to tell you all a bit about themselves, how things have progressed for them since being ‘rescued’, what it was like beforehand and what they need to secure them a long term future.
There might also be some occasional input from a member of staff, we have to let the humans have a say occasionally. We would welcome your feed back and also your help promoting this blog, the charity itself and indeed the personal blog of Freshfields founder Lesley Tarleton. The more people who hear about us the more chance they will want to help and the more lives we will be able to save.
